More Designer Collaborations to Add to Your Calendar

There is one thing the fashion world is not suffering from, and that is the lack of designer collaborations. This week two new collaborations were announced that may be some of the most exciting yet!

Isabel Marant for H&M:

From the designer that introduced us the hate-it-or-love-it trendy wedge sneakers, Isabel Marant brings her French attitude and influence to the widely loved and affordable department store. Starting in November at select H&M stores and online, Marant will design a collection featuring clothing and accessories for women and teens and for the first time, men.

For every fashionista wanting to emulate Parisian chic at a not-so Parisian budget (including this fashionista) will surely flock to H&M for every piece in Marant’s collection.

Sarah Jessica Parker for Nordstrom:

Whether we like it or not, Sarah Jessica Parker will be synonymous with shoes. Thanks to her character Carrie on Sex and the City, SJP got to wear some fabulous and fabulously expensive heels. So it only makes sense that the best dressed woman to ever appear on TV get her own clothing line, or at least her own shoe line. You may remember SJP’s short-lived collaboration with the now debunked Steve & Barry’s. I still have a pair of black studded wedges from the line (called Bitten) because they are still a classic style with an edgy twist. Even though Bitten didn’t last, her approach and keen eye never go out of style.

What’s even more exciting about the project, is her teaming up with George Malkemus, CEO of Manolo Blahnik for the line, called SJP. We can’t help but remember the infamous episode of “The Lost Manolo’s” from Sex and the City.

The collection will also feature handbags and trench coats and will be sold exclusively at Nordstrom stores beginning in early 2014. Are you as excited as we are to see the SJP line?

Will you be rushing to stores for these two designer collaborations? What are your DREAM collaborations? Let us know.
